COOP (Coordination Process Correctness and Trust Assumptions)

The COOP project uses the e3value method, see http://www.e3value.com.

Project goal
Define consistency relationships between model of a value web and coordination process of the cooperating businesses
  • Coordination process executed by ICT systems of cooperating partners
  • Different levels of trust among partners
  • Risk taken by partners by participating in the cooperation
Design questions
  • How to design a coordination process based on a value model and trust assumptions, and assuming the reuse of legacy ICT?
  • How to incorporate the cost of security mechanisms in the value model?
  • How to estimate the risk of the coordination given the value model and levels of trust?
Solution approach
  • Formalize value models and coordination models
  • Use available correctness techniques to analyze correctness relations
  • Extend with risk estimation techniques
Research questions
  • When is a coordination process "correct" with respect to a value model?
  • How do companies currently manage the risks of cross-organizational cooperation?
